Dear Friend

Artist Statement (from you)

Hi Lanell!

Well, I did it! Hauled out the old journals and dumped all but the current one and prior one. More "old ghosts" swished away leaving empty spaces to fill with new ideas, experiences, etc. I ALWAYS feel better, lighter and refreshed when I get rid of ANYTHING!

Glancing through the old journals, I discovered that they were necessary for me to become the person I am now. That's no longer necessary, as I AM who I want to be and am focusing on who I'm becoming day by day... The freelance writing has taken the place of the old journaling. Now I can write in the moment and don't need to record what has already happened.

I gave the old journals to the Goddess to recycle. Starhawk defines the Goddess as, "The name we put on the great processes of birth, growth, death, and regeneration that underlie the living world." In other words, she is nature and recycles everything.

My current journal and the previous one have evolved into scrapbooks. I save quotes, notes, cartoons and fortune cookie advice, along with snippets of nice things people say and bits of info I may need to refer to as life swims along...

Thank you for giving me this opportunity to move forward. Art is like that, isn't it! It walks right into your heart and speaks directly to your higher self.

I'm listening to the entire Chopin (one of my muses) repertoire on CD performed by Garrick Ohlsson. It's amazing how it helps the writing. I'll be finishing up article #50 this coming week and am hoping it will be published in July, my birthday month.

Love and Peace Profound, Asia (my Polish name and who I really am...!)
