Dear Friend
Sometimes one word can lead you to the heart of something.
A few weeks ago I heard a favorite author of mine, Terry Tempest Williams, speak about her new book Finding Beauty in a Broken World. The book came from one word.
After September 11th, Terry was lost, shaken, shattered. She says, “I was desperate to retrieve the poetry I had lost. I asked the sea to give me one wild word. And the word the sea rolled back to me was mosaic.”
You can read in the book about where this one word led her: an amazing journey from Italy to the Colorado Plateau to Rwanda.
Sometimes one word can lead you to the heart of something.
Terry’s word was Mosaic. My word was Love.
What’s your word?
I’d love to hear what it is. Send me an email or come create a One Word collage at my upcoming OPEN HOUSE for SWAN DAY on Sunday, March 29. See below for details.
Also, check out the sidebar for more upcoming events in the next few months. Hope to see you soon.
Love,
- Lanell
